This is a question Irrational people

Freddie Woo tells us "I'm having to drive 500 miles to pick up my son from the ex's house because she won't let him take the train in case he gets off at the wrong station. He's 19 years old and has A-Levels and everything." - Tell us about illogical and irrational people who get on your nerves.

*nods* My ex was like that, he'd automatically contradict everything, EVERYTHING, I said - drove me mad.
When I told him something I'd have already thought up answers to the stupid arguments he'd instantly come out with.

Like:

Me - Our eldest desperately needs £100. Here is the money. As I am off to work now, will you take it to the Post Office and send it by Registered Post so she'll get it safely?
Ex - No, a cheque is safer. Nobody else can cash it.
Me - No, she needs CASH, a cheque will take too long to clear.
Ex - But what if the cash is stolen on the way? Like in a train robbery?
Me - It will be insured so she'll still get the money.
Ex - But that might take weeks to come through, and she needs the money now!
Me - Bye, I'm popping to the Post Office...

Would have been quicker just to do it yourself.
Long term, you should have just gotten your eldest into rehab.
