Dear boy from the history department at uni
You're lovely, and we have a great chat whenever we see each other. Which is bi-weekly thanks to our lecture schedule. You always ask how I am doing, how the wedding planning is getting on. I love hearing about your crazy nights out in the town. Just one favour - please leave out a book, or something which tells me your name. I didn't catch it when I met you over a year ago and I can't ask you now.

It annoys me bi-weekly that I don't actually know who you are.

Yours,

That girl in history, who's name you know and mention often.

Why don't you just ask for his email address? It's bound to be something to do with his name, and if it's something like [email protected] then just do some digging on the college's website - they must have a phonebook service.

Also, whichever dept he's in should have a list of students up somewhere, most likely with photographs.

Isn't she planning her wedding?
Or did I get confused?*

*Quite likely

yeah sounds like a nice plutonic friendship developing.
There are ways to gather peoples names secretly. Though as he knows yours, i'm suprised he hasnt added you on Facebook yet. Do you know any of his mates? If so look up their Facebook friends and hopefully you should find his picture which will have his name next to it ;)

I remember being in a similar situation once, and i had been chatting to this girl for ages in college and didnt know her name. So I asked her and she thought it was funny I didnt know her name so instructed everyone to never tell me. Anyway she dissapeared away from her computer, so I ejected her disk, (10 yrs ago!) which she had written her name on. Put it back in and then kept it going a bit longer before I told her. She had no idea how I found out! Sometimes its the simple methods are the most effective :)

I want to say it's James
But I just don't know. I will spy on the noticeboards of group lists and see if I can narrow down his email there.
