Not me, but...heard lots of horror stories about people without the right/adequate insurance in the USA. Example. Guys develops appendicitis, has to have op, bill 20k. Ouch. Never be ill in Sepo-land.

Never beIll and *poor*. It's fine and dandy if you've got the money to pay for it but woe betide anyone who dares to ask for help. And they have the gall to poke fun at the European model?

bah, rant forming.....the doctors run unnecessary tests to cover themselves against litigation, which the patients are happy to have as it's covered by insurance, but this is exactly why premiums are so high. Tis stiiiaaauuupid!!! The NHS has it's failings, sure, but every time I've had a problem, they've sorted it.
