This is a question You're a moviestar baby

Setting up a 'greenscreen' at work got me thinking about the films and tv that I've accidentally been in.

Helena Bonham-Carter vehicle "The Heart of Me" was filmed in our old office, and features several of us peering through the curtains whilst they filmed in the square outside. Similarly, my girlfriend was in an episode of the Professionals that was filmed outside her house.

What have you been in the background of?

Cut for space
Downtown in Manhattan there's usually something always getting filmed. I came across this scene with Topher Grace and Dennis Quaid during the summer. They and all the extras were all in heavy winterwear. Which is insane since it must have been at least 85 degrees (around 30 celsius), the humidity is like a Vietnam jungle, and all the rubbish bags out on the streets for collection have this smell of wet dogs and piss. I took a few pictures on my cell phone and was standing around by the crew, hoping like the loser I am they would need me for something. After a few minutes when they were done, I was politely told to clear off.

And of course, if you go downtown enough or on the west side, you're almost guaranteed to find filming of Law and Order. Mum frequently tripped over cables from the lighting when she would leave her old office.
