Nativity PlaysEvery year the little kids at schools all over get to put on a play. Often it's christmas themed, but the key thing is that everyone gets a part, whether it's Snowflake #12 or Mary or Grendel (yes, really).
Personally I played a 'Rich Husband' who refused to buy matches from some scabby street urchin. Never did see her again...
Who or what did you get to be? And what did you have to wear?

Crikey...I (sadly) went to a Catholic primary/high school (N.B. Mandatory religious education gives you more than enough ammunition to become an Atheist), and I vaguely remember bits of that stupid hymn.
'were you there when they nailed him to a tree'
was it the same one with the chorus of 'it makes me wonder' or something equally as dull?

YeahThat was a really whack hymn to teach to kids... the only verse I really remember is the 'nailed him to a tree' one... aargh indeed
