This is a question Procrastination

Outlook is a wonderful tool, but not when it keeps reminding you that it is now 96 weeks since you were supposed to finish a report you haven't even started yet.

Just how lazy are you? How long will you put off the essential or the inevitable? What do you fill the time with?

(We're too lazy to write something funny here. You do it.)

well a lot of yer
arab gents over here are world class when it come to making an artform out of doing fuck all.

work or exersion of any sort is pretty much regarded as being beneath them. the only place they will walk is in an air conditioned mall - where they mill around aimlessly with handfree kits strapped to their faces - or as i call them the Borg in bedlinen.

Its quite common to see them strolling along, their wife behind, with the tiniest little philipino maids lugging all their shopping/prams/kids etc

the best bit is the are so adverse to going outdoors that vitamin d deficiency is on the rise - would you believe that in a country with year round sunshine there are wealthy air conditioned arabs who pretty much never see the light of day, so kidney problems anemia and even rickets are a now a problem. I mead rickets in this in this day and age FFS!

the place is nuts, nuts i tells ya

Surely the only reason for going over there..
..is to make money. I fail to see why else you'd want to live in a giant shopping mall in the desert with some of the strictest, most draconian laws in the world and ugly gold statues everywhere.

That's how a friend described the UAE. He lived and worked there for a month and spent most of his free time in his hotel room taking advantage of the company-subsidised room service. He didn't want to go outside much. He did venture out on new years eve and apparently came close to being dragged out into the desert and buried up to his neck in sand because he snogged a girl who turned out to be married. And like you say, he reported the oil-rich arabs live in their own completely nuts little world. Nice place!

its true
it is:

bonkers

draconian

and only really a place to 'smash and grab' ie make money then fuck off

however - there are no chavs, no city centre no-go areas with brawling drunks every weekend. no knife crime, no junkies begging in the street. no car crime no burglary - in fact pretty much no crime as far as i can see or hear.

and as much as there is a hell of a lot of beurocracy and some of the laws are ridiculous - its still no where near the nanny state 'mr brown knows best' 'yes i do love being bum raped for 40% tax' nonsense in the UK

and a tank of petrol is a tenner

oh and sunny

and there is no tax

YAY! for dubai*

*opinion will change dependent on my day

You make some good points..
..I'm just about to tell a friend I wont be joining him in a pub in the centre of town tonight because it's Saturday and it will be bedlam. Also because I'll have to get the train, not being able to afford to drive anymore, and a pint costs upwards of three pounds.

I'm rather ashamed now.
I live in australia.

And I'm vitamin D deficient. because I burn so badly so quickly that I don't go into the sun very much.

that said. I still have no plans to change my habits. I'll take a possibility of ricketts over near certain skin cancer.
