This is a question Racist grandparents

It Came From Planet Aylia says: "My husband's mad Auntie Joan accused the man seven doors down of stealing her milk as he was the first black neighbour she had. She doesn't even get her milk delivered." Tell us about casual racism from oldies.

Thanks to Brayn Dedd who suggested this too

Bloody immigrants
My in laws are of the asian persuasion and left Bombay to study here in the 60s and stayed ever since. My father in law only reads the Daily Mail and is always ranting about how the bloody immigrants are ruining the country with no sense of irony at all.

He's got a great sense of humour though. At our wedding he wanted to start his speech with "Goodness gracious me" and then go into an impression of Peter Sellers' bombly bombly Indian character. Unfortunately Mrs D's sense of humour didn't allow it.

(edit: ok, so he's not a grandparent yet, but we'll get round to that soon, and well, he's old enough to be one)

Not a grandparent, so I can't post it, but
I know a guy who supports the BNP, and thinks that immigrants are all workshy criminals who abuse our benefits system.

He's black.
And a Ghanaian citizen.
And a drug dealer.
And claims disability allowance.

He also doesn't believe in mixed-race marriages. His wife is white.

See, Daily Mail readers ARE intelligent - it must take quite a lot of brain-power to keep that kind of compartmentalisation going!

I think when you read the Daily Mail it magically stops your poos from smelling.

Birdy num num.
I quite like that film, but it's difficult to overlook its, erm, racial insensitivity.

Similarly, Spike Milligan's Pakistani Dalek sketch, which appeals to me on account of being rather silly.
