I was on the ferry going over to amsterdam for the first time (only a day trip thing) and was taken under the wing of a helpful geordie who told me not to drink on the ferry. Naturally I didn't listen and for the first few hours I was fine, until it got to the "entertainment" they show on these boats. The swerling middle aged women dressed as fluorescent schoolgirls and spainish band were too much to bare when put together with 8 pints and the choppy waters of the north sea. After that all I remember is waking up naked with a couple from leeds asking if I was ok. The next day I had to get the bus into amsterdam, I was badly hungover and not wanting to get in trouble so I was sick into my hands then chugged it back down my throat so as not to alert the driver.

I tell this tale as a precaution DO NOT DRINK ON FERRYS and geordies are smarter than they look. Even if they look like their on crack and only going on holiday to smuggle drugs.
