This is a question Rubbish Towns

I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

cornwall is really great, for the most part, but those two places bring its average way way down.

The train never stops there on a Wednesday.

Camborne
I'm obliged to spend my working week there. Thankfully I am forced to remain inside a secure building. I loathe my job, but the worst thing they could do is throw me outside. (Apologies to my friends who have recently bought a house there).

Oh yes..
Let me share a story. Being son of a preacher man, and my Dad spending some time in Camborne, he was assailed by many fuckwits. Favourite of mine was one who came to my Dad to let the whole world know she had found St Meriadoc's hidden grave (or maybe well, come to think of it), which had eluded so many people. Her logic? The curits house was on St Meriadoc Road, and as it was a saint.....

Having lived there for 3 months after coming back from travelling, I would say only Redruth was worse...
