Nottingham crap areas
Well,
I lived on Woodborough Road for a year, in St Anns, and apart from having a car stolen, missing an armed robbery at the Londis (shots fired, the fucking lot...by 30 seconds) and the next door neighbours crackhouse being broken into it was alright.

Worst place at the minute = Basford/Whitemoor. Fuck me, what a dive! Go out at night, get a firework thrown at you. I carry a mini golf club with me just in case...police stopped and searched me (instead of the massive gang of youths at the top of the street) and found it, I explained, and they went "fair play" and drove off?! Fuck me, I had an offensive weapon with me to go the shop and they did nowt, and the shits that terrorise this area carry on!

Also being visited by the police and the beat officer saying "we don't patrol here at night, it's just too scary, one night we had a firework thrown at us!" We have that every sodding night!!! At our house! It's like Guy Fawke's reincarnation is visiting us!

Also, Mansfield Road/Forest Road cross road...1st year uni student flat, 1st night there, woken by the sound of someone doing her hair in the reflective window singing "prostitute, prostitute, I suck cock for crack but I don't care, prostitute"

I tell ya, Notts police are fucking ridiculous, I have given descriptions, names, fingerprint evidence and NO convictions ever...I suppose it is in their interest to keep crime high as they are massively overstaffed.

Couldn't agree more about the Police
They are awful at their job. I was once being attacked in the Old Market Square by a group of yobs. The police came, questioned me then jumped in their car and sped off.
Shocked, me and the group just stood in silence for a second before it continued.
Don't get me wrong either, I'm a massive supporter of the Police Force as a whole. I have the utmost respect for them. They just don't seem to have a clue in Nottingham.

I personally live in Beeston, Notts and it's one of the nicest/safest areas I've lived in other than Catterick Army garrison.
Swansea was a dump, Bournemouth was nice but something was missing, SE London got to the point of not being able to leave the house after dark and when I lived in Basrah I had a fuck-off big gun with a grenade launcher (see profile) so I guess the locals would consider me and my 'gang' to be the menaces of that town.
