Barnsley (more precisely, Wombwell.)It's not pretty, and it's not glamorous, but nor does it try so hard to be something it's really not. Also, it's not had its identity obliterated by a cabal of suited southern wankers who are only there because couldn't hack it in London, as the long post down there astutely pointed out.
Every time I set foot in Leeds city centre, I feel as if I'm going to be arrested for not being well-dressed or well-spoken enough.
