This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

i don't understand
Why some of the men answering this question (and of course, some, but not many men in general) have this massive bugbear about not being allowed to punch a woman, in spite of them "demanding equality". Seems a little unreasonable, don't you think?

Surely someone's right to equal treatment is a little more important than someone else's right to punch them in the face. Violence and equal rights seem to me two different issues entirely, and you can't really compare the two in terms of sexual equality.

Can't we all just stop punching each other!?!

tell that to my Ex
she was a right violent cow and had no worries about throwing punches once she was drunk or moody. Just another reason the psycho is my ex.

that's also unfair!
I think the main principal of fighting with honour is not to pick a fight with someone that can't compete with you physically. Of course, most girls can't throw as good a punch as guys. But it's just as unfair if a woman takes advantage of the fact that most men won't hit them on principal. In my view, punching=bad in general.

Quite right
My husband is allowed to drive my car and yet somehow I'm not allowed to slam his genitals in the door. How unfair is that?

equal rights
I was at Karate class the other day... sparring time and I got paired with a woman. 'Dont go easy on me, i can take it' she said. So i punched her in the face. I'm not entirely sure she saw the funny side of it :)

I know many woman who can out punch the average man
And some who regularly do.

Yet marking a woman's face is seen worse in the eyes of the law than a man's.

As I see it...
The problem is often shown places like town centres late at night where you get a lovely congregation of drunken idiots. I have seen it happen before where a female rather worse for wear decided that a bloke has slighted her in whatever way and needs to be taught a lesson, so takes a swing at him.

If you are that bloke, lets take a look at your options...
You can fight back and defend yourself. Seems fair since she was the one that initialised the encounter, which most likely will result in you taking a hiding from the array of knuckledraggers who have stopped to watch and decided that you are 'beating up your woman' or somesuch.
You can stand and take the kicking from the female happy in the knowledge that 'at least I didn't hit a girl' and let everyone know that you can get beaten up by girls.
You can cut your losses and leg it, take no beating but be forevermore known as the one that was scared of a girl.

This is the reason a lot of people get annoyed by the 'dont hit girls' thing, which I see as perfectly fair, as the girl can effectively pick a fight with a male safe in the knowledge that she can generally walk away with little repercussions to herself by exploiting the 'rule'

Personally I would still say that to hit anyone (whatever gender) is still wrong, but would like to reserve the fight to defend myself should someone else be the one to start on me...

I know of a man locally
who had a bit of a bust up with his woman in the street. He ended up giving her a good hard kick in the cunt, apparently bruising her considerably, for which he got 18 months inside.

Now I'm not saying kicking a woman in the twat is OK, far from it, but how many men do you see getting hoofed in the nuts every weekend outside kebab shops, clubs etc by pissed up women? More than a few, I'm sure.
It hurts just as much, if not more. I am told that the pain of a kicked bollock is akin to that of a poked ovary (how the fuck someone worked that one I have no clue). I'm not sure quite where bruised beef curtains fits on the pain scale, but can it be anywhere near the mind-bending zing of clacked knackers?

Me, I just stay away from pissed up women. The only women I hurt can always use a safe-word.

I was always taught to never hit a lady
If she hits you, she's no lady.

(B3ta or not, I feel the need to justify this joke as something I would never do. Finding and beating a man who's laid a finger on any of my female friends, however, is a rather different matter.)

Again with the "ex" reply.
Had no qualms about bursting my lip for "cuddling her too tightly" (in actuality it was for stopping her charging into a fight that didn't concern her half an hour previously), yet proclaimed I had been violent towards her when she left me for another man. Must have hurt her hand when she twatted me I guess.

[with some degree of irony]
It would appear that the best course of action for a guy is to hit/beat your girlfriend/wife regularly -- I've met a fair few girls who told me their partner hit them (includung, possibly, my mother) yet none of them reported the guy.
