To quote Delia herselffrom her Christmas special, which I watched despite being male:
"chefs wouldn't like (whatever she was doing) but we're home cooks, not chefs, so never mind what they think"
...may be a semi-drunk paraphrase, but the original quote definitely included "we're home cooks, not chefs".
