Personally, I've never ever smoked a cigarette. Lung damage from pneumonia put me off.

but the humourIs derived from the fact that the rhyme is "unexpected" (a term I use in its loosest possible form with regards to the puns normally found here) i.e. you expect the story to be about the title of the QOTW, but lo and behold, it's about something that sounds like it and is therefore funny.
