At a guess:

* %of b3ta users who use social networking (bear in mind b3ta has a higher-than-average age demographic than most online comuunities): 50%

* %of those people who have made any kind of gaffe on such a site: 25%

* %of those gaffes that are in any way interesting to anyone not directly involved: 25%

* %of those who are willing to post such a gaffe: 50%

* derived % of b3ta members who can post to this week's qotw: 1 x 0.5 x .25 x .25 x .5 = 1.56%.

Bah humbug.

Multiply that by the number of users
1.56/100 * 69000 = 1077 stories that by your own definition are interesting :)

Even if half those users are comedy-logins (and they are), that's 25 pages of answers to read.

I'm just annoyed that I'm not in that 1.56% and I tend not to make my stories up (exaggerate, maybe, but not make up). So I've got nothing to contribute for an entire week.

Though I could also mention the lurker/poster ratio and whatever the % of b3ta accounts are that only post on the talk/links/main board as well.
