Personally, last month a scantily clad young woman confused me with her fiance, with whom I share a first and last name. I'm still not sure she's noticed, but she's going to be mortified when she does.

sacked for bloggingpetite anglaise (former colleague of a friend of mine) was dismissed for her blog.
subsequently she has had a book published and has quite a fan base.
and her court case included a debate as to the correct translation of the word "twunt"
