I've had a good WoW romance. Good as in "had positive real-life consequences, wasn't unreasonably weird, didn't at any point involve pretending our characters are doing it too."

I've also had someone who, after a shared instance, rerolled to my class (druid) and began spamming me all day every day with "Which bit of gear is better?" "where should my talent points go?" "Do you want to see a photo of me naked?".
