This is a question Things to do before you die

I want
to visit Prypiat, Ukraine. The abandoned city near the site of the Chernobyl disaster.

Is
That the town featured on Modern Warfare2, very spooky place!

Yes!
Me too, though the wife won't let me until we've got the kids out of the way in case of sterilisation.

There's something about civilisation being reclaimed by nature that gives me goosebumps.

Yeah me too
I watched that life after human’s thing on the nature channel and they actually featured this town, just as an example of how tenuous our grip on nature really is. It's amazing to see how quickly signs of us ever being here would rapidly disappear. The last thing remaining for aliens to look at thousands or millions of years into the future would be Mount Rushmore :\

Seeing that I work in the Nuclear Industry...
I know a few people who have done exactly this (and also my father has been). Intensely creepy place: and to pick up on the COD4 (not Modern Warfare 2!) point - they have reconstructed it pretty much perfectly in game. It's possible to look at screenshots and real pictures of Pripyat, and for things like trees to be in the exact same place.

apologies it was COD 4

that was
one of the best levels in a video game ever.

McMillan = NAILS. Fucking odd accent, though. I suppose that's what comes of having a Yank actor try and do a Scottish accent.

Agreed
'Soap' MacTavish or Gaz had a very realistic English accent though, I reckon those guys would have done a better Scottish accent.
