He is awful. So dull it's painful.
The spouse used to have a co-worker who would play one of his monotonous, blandtastic albums at work. Even he, who rarely hates anything with sincere vigor, threatened to destroy the CD if it didn't stop -- and this is the same man who didn't complain when I bought a John Barrowman CD (for laughs, admittedly).

It was him covering Cole Porter
And I do like Cole Porter, plus it was a contender for Gayest Album in the World (and I do mean that in the sense of 'most gay in once place', not an insult like the kiddies use it these days), though it lost to the Smiths single of 'The Boy with the Thorn in His Side' with the cover photo of Truman Capote photographed by Cecil Beaton (yes, we had an actual contest; no, we don't get out much these days).
