My geeky friends in elementary school did role playing with Magic the Gathering.
One of them grabbed me one day and the other threw a boomerang at him...I guess to try to rescue me?
I got hit in the face with the boomerang. Cue mass screaming and blood shed.

boomerang is a blue counterspell card
It returns target permanent to its owners hand, assuming that his friend was using abduction, another blue card that takes control of target permanent it wasn't such a stupid idea
