He will be remembered as the most fanatic tetris player of all times.

His family had quite some work cutting the bodyparts into the appropriate sizes though.

Not really a personal gaffe, but.
A few years, ifnot decades ago : I was playing pool with my friend, in this really great coffeeshop (I'm from the Netherlands, so no drinking coffee in there *wink wink nodge nodge*), which was just across the street of where i was living, and i used to hop in once and awhile to shoot some pool.

This coffeeshop used to be full of black people, but we (being white as white) never really minded, as we never had any problems with them, or they with us.

Playing pool wasn't charged per hour, but you could insert coins to retrieve all the balls : Thus , making the 8-ball kinda holy, as when it went in, the game was over (or lame switching to 'purple whole is the 8-ball now')

So halfway the game, my friend almost knocks in the 8-ball, and , in horror of seeing the game being ended so quickly, and thus kinda losing your money, i shouted out :'WATCHOUT, FOR THE BLACK ONE !'

Almost as in a movie i imagined the barmusic to stop immedeately , every black dude in there looking at us two whities :)

Did not go back for a game of pool for some time ;)

» Fancy Dress

Our last party
We had 'terrorism' as our theme: Besides the suicide-terrorists sipping their beers we also had two lads who dressed up as the Twin Towers: Complete with little airplanes attached to the side.

And yes, at the end of the night, those guys both hit the floor... :)

» Strange things you've been paid to do

I need more stickers !
I had a very cool , yet strange job when i was backpackin' around Australia ;

It started with the person at the job-office being very emberassed when telling me what -could- be my next job :

I had to censor shiploads of Playboys and Penthouses by covering the 'naughty' parts (read 'nips' and 'pussy') with very-strong-not-to-be-removed- black circular stickers.

The shipment was meant for the Asian market (can't remember what country specifically) and somehow that job needed to be done ;

So there you sat with 20 or so backpackers, all covering nips and pussies... all... day...long.

Great to give some anonymous random asian guy the best day of his life by *cough* forgetting a sticker here and there though ;)

» Embarrassing Injuries

I really, -really- liked stapling ;)
As a kiddy (think 6 years old) i loved the wonderfull world of 'combining stuff' whereas my main tool to do so, would be the stapler. (sp?)

One day i was , once again, on my duty to reunite random pieces of paper in a very quickish way, only to realise that one piece of paper somehow stuck to my thumb. After shaking it for a few times, to my awe (and amazement too prolly) the piece of paper was stapled -onto- my thumb (the staple piercing through my nail) ; and in the excitement of 'joining random stuff' i did not feel it until i looked at it.

Damn, did i scream at the top of my lungs that day :)

» Walkman Flashbacks

Cheesy song/band ; Great video
"Take on Me" by a-ha ;

When I hear that song, I can't do anything else than imagine that great video.

That, and the vivid 80's flashback make me feel all fuzzy inside when I hear it :)
