[challenge entry] And, have this
not entirely correct with the rules, but I just think this film is a travesty of arsebandits, and that anyone who likes it is a fucking spacker.

Edit: Cheers johno, the sword is quite a nice touch ain't it holds hands up

So yes, that means if you think this film is good you are a fucking fuck fuck, fuck.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 22:51, archived)
# harsh
obviously this is your opinion, to which your entitled to

i, however, am also entitled to mine, and thought the film was superb, and very cleverly made, and if you disagree, then you my friend, are a fucking fuck fuck, fuck.

fair point me thinks

post script- love the wobly sword

# Hear
hear. I loved it.

Well done sticking up to the nasty man.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 22:55, archived)
# Well said!
Quentin Tarantino (eep, spelling?) is however a shit actor, but was he in Kill Bill at all? Trés unusual.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:06, archived)
# ...I don't recall seeing him in it...
...which is probably a good thing.

His 5 minutes in desperado were good though, to be fair - the whole pissing on the barman thing... He's a better actor than me, I doubt not. Woo to Mr Tarantino, on balance, I think!
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:12, archived)
# s'spose

so

I think it was gay though

*fucks*

# have do disagree with you on two reason
1 - Gratiouts swordfight
2 - Uma Thurman in a yellow jump suit

but then I'm easly pleased me
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 22:55, archived)
# i think your face is ugly!
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 22:56, archived)
# YES YES YES!!
That film sucked fungus infected gorrila testicles!
So, much, wrong, with, every, scene,,,,
Bad dialogue, Bad cinematography, actually gets everything wrong about what it is supposed to be idolising,,

Edit, just saying I didn't like the film! Unfluffyness not intended
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 22:56, archived)
# THe best thing about it is...

Watch it again, and the last line, where some gay spunk dripping felch monger says

"Does she know her child is still alive?"

(Or whatever, get off my nob, pedants)

Play the drums from the end of 'Eastenders' in your head, it really is that shit, its actually like Eastenders the fucking film.

If that isn't a rotten diseased cunt I don't know what is.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:00, archived)
# but that's the point of it
it's supposed to be a hokey retro kung fu movie.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:03, archived)
# but it misses the point completely

is the basic point.

Faced with the choice between watching the original or a remake, 99 times out of 100 I'll watch the original. SO faced with a film which is a pastiche of badly remade and stolen scenes I have no choice but to declare it a turgid runny stool which was only made because a coke-head surrounded himself with yes-men and ordered them to lick his balls.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:07, archived)
# you don't see a lot of coma sex.

and i think the movie is extremely nice to look at and has extremely stylish scenes.

it is an homage, not a remake.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:11, archived)
# check the spelling, I think you mean

homo-age
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:15, archived)
# yes
i do recall seeing the film having sex with a film of its own gender.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:17, archived)
# hahaha!
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:19, archived)
# no shit?
you might even start thinking there was sort of an ironic thought behind it...

or would that be too intelligent...
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:01, archived)
# If its ironic

to make a film that is pathetically shite

then 10/10 to the big chinned cock, other than that he needs to sort his life out and get over his signature* move of mixing up the timeline.

* for SIGNATURE read 'shite', it worked for Pulp Fiction, and was vaguely acceptable for Reservoir Dogs but is now just tired

Oh yeah, and just copying other peoples films isn't ironic, just cock-lame
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:04, archived)
# Reservoir dogs came before Pulp if I remember well
but it's still not an excuse for you missing the whole idea of Kill Bill, it's called artistic freedom, you don't have to like it if you don't want to.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:06, archived)
# Its nothing to do with chronology
just the order they popped into me head.

There is no idea to kill bill, other than QT thinking, 'hey I ripped off other films before, and people liked it. If I rip off lots of films and amalgamate them into one film, people will like it more'

And you suckers fell for it.

THE EMPEROR WEARS NO CLOTHES
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:11, archived)
# what films has he ripped off?
he's made the most unique films in modern cinema.

and i'd say kill bill has quite an idea.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:14, archived)
# the anti Kill Bill idea is the same as the anti-Bush one
tho the latter one may be more justified, people just think it's cool to be against something. not saying I'm for Bush, but too many brainless bums are against him just cause it's supposed to be cool.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:18, archived)
# Not at all

I have to say I liked Pulp Fiction, Dusk till dawn, Reservoir Dogs. I'm not one for anti bandwagons or knocking the succesfull, I just genuinely didn't like Jackie Brown or Kill Bill.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:25, archived)
# indeed
as my idea states, these anti-movements direct against institutionalised values, as QT had become AFTER reservoir and Pulp

edit: and I'm not saying you're one of them, just saying there's to many brainless anti-people out there
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:27, archived)
# I'm not entirely sure I get
your drift...

which is not a dig, I'll just freely admit that I don't understand. I just reckon he spent all his hummus a while ago. Perhaps he should move into financing new talent or something that might produce more new and interesting stuff?
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:31, archived)
# possibly
at least you thought about it :)

I was complaining about those who don't think and say: "Steven spielberg, Yuk", "QT, Yuk", "Bush, Yuk" just because everyone else says
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:34, archived)
# Cool
Anyhow, gotta go, laptop battery is giving me grief, have some small fluff

fluff

Catch y'all later, please see the (current) bottom of t'thread for a fluuf-pology.

tatty bye board, you are my only friends
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:40, archived)
# your still not sure about opinions are you
if you must feel the need to jizz your over the top opinion in our faces, fair do's, but you dont have to fucking preach it to us.

if you liked it, you liked it

if you didnt..so what
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:09, archived)
# well sayeth.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:05, archived)
# I can see why people like it,,
It's just that there was not a single thread of originality in any scene. If anyone but QT had made it, this film would have flopped.
It then kept going from idolising other films to just taking the piss out of them.
just my opinion, I overreacted cause I though I was the only one who didn't like this film!
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:05, archived)
# that's because...
the critical view of TQ (that we all recognise) makes us able to understand that irony.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:07, archived)
# hahaha!
(deleted post)

Edit, That was WAY to unfluffy of me, Please accept my apologies,,,
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:08, archived)
# do you understand...
..the basic idea of irony at all?

it's just a movie, he throws up some dust at some genres, if you don't like that in a movie, stop whining, go wait for terminator 4
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:10, archived)
# yeah, I am apologising for my posts
but just to say, I have studied Film media from 1960's to late 90's. Only got a D but that's cause I never revised for the exam!
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:12, archived)
# it's not because someone has a degree in something (or studied it)
that he is the ultimate authority on that cause...

POlitical sciences for example, I study them, but I don't go around claiming to know if Marx was wrong or right. so in the future, try not to bring that up.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:14, archived)
# sorry, didn't mean it like that!
Just saying that I'm not one of those people who just rant on about films cause they think it 'rocked' or something. I actually watched the film as a piece of filmaking rather than just a film.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:17, archived)
# well, I like to think the same of me
Tho I haven't seen film-technical stuff as thorough as you probably have, and I thought to discover an original idea in Kill Bill, which I support. But perhaps this is all a difference of perception.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:19, archived)
# i appreciate your good attitude.
[high five]
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:20, archived)
# *high fives back*
Tis not normal of me to be unfluffy. I like teh fluff
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:23, archived)
# so does Edgard

but he has a problem with expressing his feelings...
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:25, archived)
# it's about style.
and it is undeniably stylish.

see: reservoir dogs.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:07, archived)
# That's my point,
QT has only one style, and it's not even his. Anyway, I'll stop here as I'm even annoying myself. Sorry if I offend anyone, it is only a film anways,,,,
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:09, archived)
# seems pretty unique to me.
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:13, archived)
# most directors
only have 1 style, tho QT is pretty good in not letting it get boring. It's a very good style, and he's done 3 totally different things with it in Reservoir, Pulp and Jackie Brown
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:13, archived)
# Dont even get me started on
Jackie Brown-Eye
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:17, archived)
# Now that film wasn't that bad,

/runs
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 23:18, archived)
# Oooohhh!
You have issues with this don't you.

I admired this film as it was well shot, had attitude and challenged a few sterotypes. It was also highly amusing in places where it poked fun at a few of the movie cliches. On top of that Tarratino tipped his hat in the direction of a few film genres that he admired. And why not.

I liked it, so I must be a fucking spacker and a fucking fuck fuck, fuck.

Oh well.

*cares not a jot*
(, Sat 23 Oct 2004, 22:58, archived)
# So anyhow board
Lets fluff out, sorry if I got anyones goat (see me after and you can have it back).

I just plain didn't like the film, and didn't deserve the worship it received.

So, to recap:

A) I love you guys

B) Have a fluffy pea roasted spoonerism
