# there could be a whole range of B3ta ones
Goatse, Radioactive, Biohazard, No Gary Glitter (red circle, line through), and some kind of statement about how fucking bad for the environment the things are and how stupid as a race mankind is for thinking burying a chemically designed shit sack in the ground is a better solution than simply washing them. /rant mode off

# Bamboozles
rock.

But: SEPA (Scottish Environmental Protection Agency) did a life-time study on nappies - re-usables v disposables.

They came out even. o.O

Apparently the energy and detergents consumed with washing re-usable nappies has quite an impact (plus you need to use liners).

The only way they're truely better for the environment is if you use them for more than one sprog! Then they end up slightly ahead - but only slightly... the more children you use them on the better - but they do of course have a finite limit as to how many times you can use them.

# I remember that, it was sponsored by Pampers I think ;)
I do remember some hoo-ha over how they were quantifying the environmental damage of the landfill though. Never found the answers so assume it was brushed under the carpet

# yeah
they were coming up with some random timeframe for nappy decomposition.

Turns out it's about 500 years. Probably 50 times longer than they claimed...

I know there're some nappy recycling trials going on around the world (U.S. I think are doing a few) which is a bloody good idea. If you can get the chavs to drop 'em in the right recycling box that is...
