# It's all true I can assure you -
I bought Crysis for my laptop last week and I was thinking of games for this compo but I was going to use Alistar Darling - although thinking about it and actually doing it are two very different things ;)

So in all likelihood it may not of happened - plus the drive shaft had gone on our car so my free time is now devoted to helping James dismatle bits of car a woman should never really see ;)

# As a busdriver I would agree
Hate the job love the money and busdrivers when not driving are actually sweet nice people - I lie not!

# I get the bus twice daily, every day of the worknig week, and I have nothing but respect for the drivers.
The amount of crap they put up with is unbelievable sometimes. Sure you get the occasional time when someone's clearly on a bad day, but that happens to everyone. Nah - hats off to bus drivers.

# Thank you - often we feel really unappreciated
and I think after the millionth cut-up by inconsiderate road-users and being sworn at by a 7 year old chav you tend to get a little raggy by the end of the shift.

# My wife has a funny bus story
After having our second baby she was unable to drive for a few weeks, so one day tried to catch the bus. Not knowing fares or anything, she asked the driver how much she should have to pay.

The driver looked at my daughter and said "How old is she?", to which my wife replied "3 and a half", and the driver said "You don't have to pay for her".

Then he looked in the baby-carrier and said "and how old is that one?"

My wife checked to see if he was joking, but he wasn't.

"Well, she's 2 weeks old".

"Oh right, well you don't have to pay for her either".

I kid you not. That is what happened.

# He will have been joking - we have a wicked sense of humour
that most people simply don't relate too when it comes from a busdriver.

The fact that he didn't smile was a bit mean of him.

# I have the Acer Aspire 8930G
It's got a Nvidia Geoforce 9600M GT and a Intel Dual Core Processor with a massive 18.4 inch screen - It runs it in medium quality resolution but turns into a slideshow if I try to bump up the resolution too high.

# Fantastic
Cheers for that, I also wanted a large screen.
(, Thu 10 Sep 2009, 15:17, archived)
# The screen is High Definition 1080p
but look out for the Bluray Disc version to get the maximum from the screen - I have a standard DVD on mine. If you haven't got the cash straight up consider getting a Mobile Broadband package from PC World at a cost of £40 per month the laptop is only £400 with the 3 network - Cheaper with some other networks like T-Mobile.
