This is a question Black sheep of the family II

Freddie Woo says: I was a bit friendly with this chap was once on Jeremy Kyle for what he called "brother and sister problems". He was such a family outcast they made him sleep in the shed. Tell us about your family black sheep.

QOTW
Question of the Week suggestions

Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:

* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer

So just reusing an old one and getting dull puns on the first page isn't really the aim then?

Seems like the B3ta team are the black sheep here...

What do you suggest then?
...from the look of it, you appear to have suggested:

1) Let's all laugh at some famous people who have died.

2) Eugh... British weather.

Those would have both been very interesting, and not exactly as tedious as this, I'm sure.

Although...
...incidentally, I have seen it raining upwards... indoors.
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 10:54, closed)
Long story short, you pissed in your own mouth?

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 11:06, closed)
Oooooh snap!

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 11:15, closed)
And you've asked how to sort a deck of cards.
Yay, we can both look stuff up.

Just hoping in vain that QOTW might one day get back to the original aims of being original and funny.
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 11:09, closed)
Well, the deck of cards sorting is quite obviously not a serious suggestion.
In fact I've suggested quite a lot of things, and all of them are obviously bollocks that no sane moderator would actually use.

But both of yours appear to be genuine; the first appealing to the worst type of human behaviour, the second being literally THE cliché topic chosen when people awkwardly cannot think of something to talk about.

Or, are you saying that neither of your suggestions were serious.... in which case what DO you suggest?

Either way, MY suggestions are irrelevant, as I'm not the one complaining about the choice of question.

'the original aims of being original and funny'
hahahaha
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 11:39, closed)
wah wah, why didn't you vote for my suggestion abloo bloo bloo

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 10:52, closed)
Certain questions are proven performers.
Look at the previous recycled question. Twice as many responses than the (new) norm.

It's a logical tactic, not really their fault it's backfired.

shut up showman

this is why replies should be able to win

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 14:31, closed)
why, because it looks like you, clownfeet?

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 18:09, closed)
no
Because your private life is a hilarious car crash.
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 23:56, closed)
The problem is that they let /board vote for the question, instead of the people who would actually answer it.

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 12:30, closed)
every other week the question should be 'what should next week's question be?'

"Black Sheep"
wasn't particularly popular the first time around.

Only because this place is populated with racist grandparents.

I think the OP has a point
The MODS only seem to look at the last page of suggestions, there are tons on there that would be worthy, they just need to apply some imagination and a little more time....
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 12:58, closed)
Thanks
What I find baffling is that despite almost 250 pages of question suggestions they just reuse one that's already been done.
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 13:08, closed)
Yes, but 249 of those involve things going up arses.

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 13:12, closed)
Could still be worth asking as QOTW...
...seems a lot of the regulars enjoy a bit of star wars themed bum fun in their sheds*

*may not actually be true.

These are not the haemorrhoids you are looking for

it's a crap!
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 17:07, closed)
And for the dogs sake, a little more lube.

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 13:10, closed)
They should just shut down qotw, it's obvious they can no longer manage it properly and are putting in the bare minimum effort to keep it alive.

(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 13:15, closed)
But then
we might have to do actual work on a thursday.
(, Fri 21 Feb 2014, 13:17, closed)
Thursday?

Thursday
When QOTW changes each week...

I think we may have identified the source of the problem here.
The highlight of your week is a non-event on the arse-end autism board of a site that tumbled from its peak before you even signed up. Your life is worthless. Kill yourself.

You should ask for your money back.
