Driving a manual rental car in Spain
Every time I wanted to change gear, I slammed my left hand into the door first. Every bastard time. To make matters worse, our apartment was just off a roundabout which totally confused the absolute fuck out of me.

Spanish roundabouts in Andalusia*
When I first worked (and lived and drove) in Spain, they had a marvellous rule that vehicles joining the roundabout had right of way.

*May not have been in Andalusia

That was the rule for pretty much all of mainland Europe until fairly recently.

Had similar in Canada
Found myself looking out the driver's side window to check my rear-view mirror. Had driven some distance convinced there was nothing behind me.

Not a good habit.

Pfft!
Spanish roundabouts are deathtraps. Best to hang back & let the nutters do their thing.
