You know what should have had a prequel?
That Star Wars film. It would have been interesting to see what turned Anakin into Darth Vader.
I wonder why George Lucas never made one.
NEVER, do you hear me? N.E.V.E.R.

Acting is awful, plot is boring...I just don'tlike them very much
and the 2nd and 3rd one are seriously boring.
I didn't grow up with them i guess

Okay, Mark Hamill is no Laurence Olivier
but at the time, they were pretty groundbreaking. The story scope, the subject matter, and even some of the 'not very' special effects were unheard of.

Allow me to bring some sense into this debate
I am the right age to have enjoyed Star Wars as a child.
I thought it was great and sometimes pretended I was Luke Skywalker.
I am now an adult and no longer get excited by it.
Hope this helps.

George certainly broke the mould when he came up with a story of good versus bad, but get this in space as well

They do say that all stories fall into one of about five archetypes.
Up till Star Wars, the only sci fi available was hokey 60s camp like Star Trek, Lost in Space, Blake's 7 etc. This was the first time sci fi went 'literature' in its scope. Certainly the first time it did it in a blcokbuster way.
EDIT: I'll just DMAAKM then shall I?

Please don't, that would be rubbish
I've always put the appeal of Star Wars down to it being bloody good fun more than anything to do with originality. Heroes you want to be and properly evil villains. As a kid. It's basically a Western with much cooler weapons and spaceships, but I don't see how that can possibly be a bad thing.
