I just tried to report it, you can only report it as either hate speach or a credible threat of violence.
Neither of those really apply.

i find it amazing that something calssified as a "hate crime" is worse thana normal one
If someone online threatens to kill someone else or threatens to kill a gay person are those situations so different?

Not in terms of the law or evidence needed to convict, but in terms of sentencing.
I think nearly all crime goes up a level on the scale if the motive was linked to discrimination.

It's pretty sensible to me.
If you get in a few fights in pubs over a period no serious injurys etc, you might get a fine or some community service, if you go out and find gay people/black people/jewish people and punch them once in the face the crime is the same but the motive is much more sinister.
