# ha ha Brilliant
Ha recently read a book about D Day up-to the liberation of Paris and especially the Allies "day of liberation" victory parade...

It was right out of Dads Army,
De Gaulle and the French wanted to be the 1st ones in
The Brits felt they should get top billing
The yanks (who to be fair had done a lot of the leg work) got pissed off and decide THEY will head the victory parade...
The reistance ran around shooting everyone else.

# Also
The British and Americans insisted that no black Frenchmen took part in the liberation!

# ...yeah
Not one of our proudest moments there either.
To be honest no one comes out looking very good, it's a miracle we all pulled it back together and carried onto Berlin!
