# We did the same with Oblivion.
It took longer to run from the end of the ride back to the start again than the ride actually lasted.

We also did the Corkscrew at the start of the day on one visit...actually quite scary, not because it's fast or 'extreme', but because it's so rickety and shakes your bones so much! The other rides were like gliding on silk in comparison.

I've been on the big 'un at Blackpool which is wooden and the Corkscrew was much the same.

My school, Denstone College, was walking distance and Alton Towers hadn't been open long (I'm utterly ancient), thus it was possible to gain free "admittance" through the woods because CCTV hadn't been invented.

Do I have to go to prison now? I'd really rather not.
