# I've just started using Kazaa for the 1st time.
And boy, is it slow, even on a fast PC with broadband. Only another 73 hours till my stuff finishes downloading.

only get files with a load of users, and if you were smart and got kazaa lite, run speedup, if you got normal kazaa, uninstall it

Kazaa Lite AND Speed Up... Get the Kazaa Lite Cheater as well... It fakes large uploads from your machine so that you get moved to the front of the queue on your downloads...

comes with speedup and a few other tools these days, and auto sets your level to 1000, so no need to fuck about with the cheater

# i find it works better if you:
1: wait till a search has finished and download the file with the most users
2: when it is downloading, right click on the file and 'find more users to download from'
3: get a copy of kazaa lite rather than real kazaa as it means you get rid of a lot of ad/spyware.

or
4: uninstall the sodding thing. buy your bloody music

But Kazaa (like the fondly missed Napster) seems to be pretty good for those old half remembered tracks from the past that I missed buying 1st time 'round on account of being skint/too young/couldn't be arsed. And most of them aren't available to buy any more. Currently downloading 7teen by The Regents.
