# nooooooooo
its one of them wind up jobbies...

did you never encounter them as a sprog?`

# It seems to me that you had two choices with 'wind-up' cars.
The first (cheaper) option was the spring, or elastic, method of propulsion. Pull back and let go - whoosh.

The second worked on a fly-wheel. Zoom it forwards on the carpet, repeat to increase the "whzzzzz" sound, let go, whoosh.

Your anim clearly depicts a backward build up with a fly-wheel, repeated, action. This would result in a very fast backward whooosh.

Thank you yr-honour.
