I'm from the Netherlands
we have WW2 memorials on May 4th and 5th, the last day of war and the first day of freedom. We don't have a national memorial day for WW1, since the Netherlands was neutral during that war, and didn't see a lot of action. We did however, take in a million Belgian refugees.
