# I was once accused
of threadwasting when I posted a photo I had taken.

That may have been when I started my "Who really gives a fuck about it?" campaign.

# It is from you
where I get my who gives a fuck attitude towards "threadwastes" as well.

# E.g.
Who invented peanut allergy and when?
It struck me recently that no one ever seemed to die from peanut consumption prior to the mid 90's. Can you tell I can't be arsed to google it, threadwaste be more fun, see.

its the fact that peolple shout at "threadwasters"
(, Tue 23 Mar 2004, 17:35, archived)
# Because
it's a messageboard and we are allowed to post messages.

If whatever you want to say has nothing to do with any existing threads on the board, why not start a new one?

# I appreciate this.
If it becomes too much of a "Message Board" though, do you not think that the risk is run of it just being full up of text posts, defeating the idea of b3ta as a place to post funny pictures?

There are plenty of bog-standard message boards already.
(, Tue 23 Mar 2004, 17:37, archived)
# but
B3ta isn't really a place for funny pictures - it just evolved into that. Have a look at the archive and you will see it was ages before posting pics became the norm. clicky

As ong as people are being interesting and/or funny, does it really matter if their post is a picture, a link or just text?

There are trolls out there who want to just piss people off I know, but they aren't going to listen to rules no matter what they are - that's what the mods are for.

If you feel there is a horrible shortage of pictures on the board, you can always go off and make some more of your own to post.
