But do you actually make it
a compo entry when you post it? I've got no problem with taking inspiration from old compos, but why make them entries for comps that are over?

depends if I remember / can easerly find it in the drop-down menu.

It's not really a compo, more of a challange. If you think of it like that, then it doesn't matter when you enter.

it's too big for the board
reccomended image size for the board is 280 pixels wide.

It's a good pic,
no one is doubting that, I like it.

But those of us who are on lower screen resses can't see the whole pic onscreen, and so miss the clamp.

The rule* is there for a reason.

their is no need to post something wall-paper sized on here.

If you wish to point out that it is a wall-paper, make a thumb of it, scalled down to around 300 pixals and link to the big picture, warning people "Click for bigger" or "C4B".

If they were cleverer, or had studied harder at school, they would also be wealthier, and have broadband, making such qualms irrelevant.
