I always thought that when one stalks,one faces the person one is stalking, hence it would be impossible for the arrow to enter via the back.

If the stalkee is going to be aiming at the stalker with a bow and arrowthe stalker is either going to be
1) looking away sheepishly/ acting inconspicuous
2) running
