# my mother board is a
ISA AGP PCI USB i2c/SMBus

# erm... sis 741 is the chip set.. what make of board?
asus
asrock

ISA AGP PCI USB i2c/SMBus is just the bus types on the board...

(scuse being techy but thats what I do) :-)

EDIT:

is it this one?

www.asrock.com/Product/K7S41.htm

if so, click on the CPU support list and that will tell you, the fastest chips being the XP+ range

# I have to head out, but I cant make a name out from that....
anyway, take a look and see if you can spot a brand name, then google for the makers website (like above) and then you should be able to see what your board can handle, either way you will need the manual to check for clock speeds and voltage jumper settings.... and CPU's really need to be fitted by somebody who knows what they are doing....
