This is real - I just felt compelled to post it because it pretty much epitomises how fucking stupid those things are.

May I congratulate you on your arrogance!
Tell me, are you that condescending to everyone you meet, or is it just from behind the veil of anonymity that the internet affords you?
I don't post here all the time, but I do read b3ta.com regularly, so yes I do indeed know how this place works. Yes I do indeed know that it's usually home-made stuff. Yes I have indeed posted my own personally made things once or twice.
Yes I do know a forum "veteran" with a misplaced sense of self-importance when I see one.
You've been here longer than I have. Have a cookie. You must be very proud.
Sincerely,

that a good reason that we say not to post images that you have not done, especially for an outdated compo, is because it may push someone's work, that was made by them, off the board. THAT is something that is truly not fair to the person that made the said image.
It's even worse when the image you're stealing is a bloody annoying banner ad.

...and not something I'd taken into account. But if he'd wanted to make that point, he could have easily done so, by explaining what the problem was in a sensible way as you did, rather than sounding like the conceited fucking snob that he acted like.
I don't take kindly to being castigated over by some tosser because I'm a "newb".
In future, I'll be more considerate.
In future, I'd like to think that mediocre won't act like such a monumental twat to people for the tiniest of reasons, although I sincerely doubt that happening.
It's my experience that: once a forum snob, always a forum snob.
