# emotional punk??
er, sorry, thought punk was about nihilism and smash the state and the continuing urban degenerative state of our country and so on, not a bunch of whiny americans from washington bitching about, like, whatever

(, Wed 12 Jul 2006, 22:33, archived)
# but "Emo"
isn't really Emo....but emo is actually short for 'Emotive Hardcore' and stemmed from punk.....and real Emo is cool. But bands like Saves The Day & Dashboard Confessional kinda skewed it all up and its gone downhill from there and seem to have lost all previous meaning, so Emo ain't actually Emo as it should ever been known as...its now whiney pricks who are too busy trying to look "different" they end up looking the same
(, Thu 13 Jul 2006, 0:03, archived)
# ...
MTV is for losers who don't know good music. I am what would be considered "emo" in the way I like the music. I love the true emo music. But it shouldn't be stereotyped that everyone who likes a kind of music all act the same way. I appreciate other music. I like ska. Does that mean I just go skanking through school hallways in my best suit? It doesn't mean it. I do it anyways, but it doesn't mean everyone does.

I don't wear tight jeans. I use myspace because it's a good way to keep in contact with my friends. I listen to good bands. I like emo.

PS, you forgot sunny day real estate. :D

Jumping the shark means that something is past its peak. We're not jumping the shark, the genre is. We're jumping on the bandwagon :)

# Jumping The Shark
I meant this place the challenges and QOTWs are more than a bit shit of late.
Oh look another Elmo picture woo!
The Scene kids will jump on another bandwagon as soon as it comes along and milk that one to death... this faux emo shit is like Brian Peppers and fluffy tiem.

# Definitions change
Deal with it bitch.
(, Thu 13 Jul 2006, 22:44, archived)
# BUT
it hasnt changed its just stupid twats calling this new shit emo when its not, its got to the point now that anything with any emotion in it is being called emo.
Its lazy journalism and the ignorance of people who listen to it.
Do some fucking research on the topic and see none of this shit has anything to do with emo.
Hell I gave you a link in the first post.
(, Fri 14 Jul 2006, 12:23, archived)
# As the guy said.
No-one cares for a reason, emo.

# The reason being
Because you are ignorant fuck wits?
(, Sun 16 Jul 2006, 22:19, archived)
# EMO!
no, cos categorising music is hardly interesting.
(, Mon 17 Jul 2006, 14:32, archived)
# the reason being...
that the music isn't good enough to be worth caring about, and your whinging is even less interesting.
