a thought on the compo
i'm not about to wade through the 14 pages of entries so far to check but it seems that almost all of the entries are film posters. am i being speshul or would it not be more entertaining if people did more of the shopping things from one film into another kind of post? there's only so many film posters you can do before people go homicidal
this isn't a comment on this post, by the way, it's just the one that's at the top of the page...

^this.
I think that was the idea of the compo overall, but inevitably people go for the easier option
and in this particular case that's resulted in the board being full of shit.

Sometimes it's necessary to include the film title to avoid a long line of ris
so using the poster or parts of it makes most sense

it could be put...
...in the subject heading. or even just as a title to the picture. if it's done properly it should be pretty obvious to most.

not if you pick an obscure film
When the title is part of the pun you want to keep the two together too (labelling your own picture sort of thing)

so in those cases
make it the poster. i'd just like more variety, really. this endless stream of film posters is doing my nut in cos like it was said it's the easiest option that people are taking.
edit: you didn't say it was the easiest option that people were taking

a proper test case
would include the title in the subject line or post but not the picture.
it's not that hard a concept to be able to say what your film title in the thread without doing a film poster.
