TJ: What's wrong with them? Zoo have just Gaz'd me again to ask if they can use a picture. This time it was this one:

If I told 'em to fuck off last time they asked, why bother asking me again?

What they're going to get is an absolutely identical email to the last one, which was actually almost identical to the one GTA has been sending them.

cheers to GTA for the 'template'.

Thank you for your message via the website www.b3ta.com asking to publish one of my images in the 'You've got Spam' section of ZOO Weekly. The image being:
runaround.jpg
which was created by me under my b3ta.com username 'Afinkawan'.
Sadly, I have occasionally been approached by other publications, offering payment for the use of images for single use, so I cannot allow my images to be published for 'free' in your magazine when there may be other publications willing to pay.
Over the past 12 months or so, a significant number of b3ta images have been used in your magazine with no renumeration for their use, other than offering prizes with a similar value to that of the sponsored prize if the image was classified as the 'reader winner' in the 'You've got Spam' section.
As said above, I cannot allow images to be printed without payment when other publications may offer to pay for the work to publish it. If you do change your policy and offer a payment for the use of images, I would be happy to offer my images for publication to the 'You've got Spam' page on future occassions if an agreement can be reached beforehand.
Please feel free to contact me via email if you wish to discuss this further
Kind regards,
Me

It doesn't cost them anything.
I really think their accounts here should be closed. They send unsolicited mail to /board members and they stand to gain financially from positive responses. That makes them spammers.

Report them to the CIA or whoever.
I did consider emailing them to ask if I could reprint one of their pictures of whichever random tart is flavour of the month. Unfortunately I would not be able to pay for using their picture but meh.

it was sent to you by someone else. So you didn't know who owned the copyright. So you went ahead and printed it and made money from it.

As long as I promise to credit the owner if they bother to contact me.

it's just take, take, take with these people.
i'd add them to my ignore list if there was any danger of them actually having the balls to post anything on here.

There's a couple of b3tans who've had completely original work stolen and succeeded in invoicing them but they say in the Gaz that they won't pay.

I gazzed them back. I'm not starting an email correspondence with them.

I'm not all that much in demand by them. I just wanted to go along with whatever TGA, Manic, BBD etc. were doing to back them up.
