you're not wrong
Norton is like a virus in itself.. takes up shit loads of processing power, gets a stranglehold on several major applications, irritates you with messages every 5 seconds..

It is
I was having prollems with my machine and my techhead mate came 'round to sort it out. After 20 mins of wrestling, windows, and accessing it via his machine remotely, he found that, since I'd let Norton expire and hadn't renewed it, it was trying to lock down my system. They're bastards.

Yeah - he got rid of it
But even as a techhead he was suprised by how deep it had got in.

Avoid. Naughty thing.
Its not when you've got it
It's if you don't renew. Then it starts playing really dirty.

Mate
do yourself a favour.. AVG will pick up more viruses, will take up much less processing power, won't irritate you with messages all the time, and is free.
Delete the Norton virus while you still can!

Use Avast! instead
it's also ace, but it sounds like a pirate and has an exclamation mark in its name.
