Edit: Are graphics tablets all that? If so where can I get a well cheap entry-level one? I'm doing this with a laptop touchpad and it's doing my head in.
Edit: Will a standard one work with a mac?

I've got a Wacom A4 Intuos 3. It's the bee's leg joints, it really is. I still use my mouse for all the normal stuff, but drawing with it is a joy. Spend as much as you can, and Wacom's are worth the money IMO.

If you've got a friend in America then buy one there and get them to forward it - it'll cost half the price of buying one in the UK.
