# i've only had a 2 1/2 ton car run over mine
:(
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:56, archived)
# did it split open?
mine did, it looked like worms coming out the top of my foot! if it wasn't for the pain, i'd have been laughing at my brother turning green

# Right, that's it
tomorrow I'm off to have my feet replaced with nice, sensible hooves.
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 1:04, archived)
# wish i'd though of that!
it wasn't the pain that bothered me, it was having to sleep practically upside-down for 3 days that pissed me off. stuck in a side ward with a screaming baby is not my idea of recuperation.
on the plus side, i can stick a nail into my foot now without feeling it.

# actually no
just rolled over the side of it as i was walking along... left right left .....right - hey get offa my foot.... but then again i can't feel my feet very well (never have been able to - strange but true)

# sounds like
a circulatory problem. you should check it out, you don't want gout.

# That or
compressed or damaged nerves. Got any plates or pins?
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 1:19, archived)
# already have...
apparently i have tight tendons too, my knee bent the wrong way as i was walking up the stairs... so i've been out of action for about 14 months... just slowly learning to walk again - apparently i should be able to run again soon (yea right like thats gonna happen, i haven't run since i was about 10)
edit : oh and my ankles click when i walk because my bones healed funny - mustta fractured em when i was little (was always falling off/into things) thats what the dr said anyways

edit 2 : 15 years of non stop cycling probably didn't help matters either

# you're making me feel better
about the playdoh-like qualities of my own legs
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 1:27, archived)
# the best thing is..
the doctor i saw said "i've not seen anything like this before" and i immediately thought "oh great" when i bend to sit down the tendons in my legs (behind the knee) snap over the bone and go CLICK (and at the time where giving out), which was "unusual" and the fact that the pain in my leg went away with a "pop" (well two pops actually - one before the xray - typical! - and one with physio) also got a "i've not seen that before" i'm supposed to be doing all sorts of stretches n not sitting on b3ta till 1am... ahh crap its 1am again... doh
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 1:33, archived)
# heheh
i'm meant to do physio, but i couldn't be arsed. i've got to see my surgeon next week, i'll tell him i had the flu all over christmas and couldn't move. problem solved! ;)

# i'd recommend doing the stretches
i had to do hour n 1/2 of exercising in the morning and before i went to bed... urgh
I had a lady phsyio woman and she said tell me if this hurts *bends leg all over the place* no no can't feel that - no no no - ARGH! you know when something really hurts? and you shake? ....she managed to do that... that actually hurt more than when my leg bent the wrong way in the first place!

# oooowww!
*winces*
then they call you a baby! i'll be in physio and aftercare for about 3 years, maybe more. i'm just not very active in winter.
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 1:47, archived)
# i tell you whats good to keep active in winter
indoor cycling with music on really loudly - when you get a little bit tired you can simply "roll" down the hill :D oh and lots of water, so you have to get up every couple of minutes to use the water - flushes all the nasties out too - so less chance of getting a cold! :D

# yes!
