# Or any form of Trekkie!
You can eat very well beeing a vegan. I've been one myself. I now eat meat occasionally but it has to be from a good source/sauce, if you get meat from a bad source you're as guilty as the people that get done for animal cruelty!

# I belive the going rate for a intensely reared chicken is about 9p
Of £2.99 when the supermarkets sell it to you. It's about 80p for a freerange. I was always taught that a respectable mark upfor a bussiness was 100%.

# That's with eggs
I've done the vegan, the vege but I love meat. So I eat meat maybe three times a week and my non-meat protein source saves me enough money to buy proper meat that tastes a 1000 times better than the supermarket crap. Disaccociation from bad methods doesn't mean you are not responsible.

it is surprisingly common, though - I do get offered white meat occasionally for some reason, which I politely decline.

Meat as a primary protein source made sense in pre-agrarian societies.. drive-through fast-food joints.. don't.
(, Sun 16 Mar 2008, 15:38, archived)
# Why do you not eat veal?
Veal is a side product of milk production.

Crated veal is one thing, but normal veal is nice and we throw fuckloads of it away.
