# I remember loading a game in my Spectrum ZX...
Would wait ten mins, be called for dinner, eat, return, wait for ten mins. The games always turned out to be crap but you felt obliged to play for an hour.

Our Spectrum got broken because we got frustrated and my old brother threw it against a wall.

True fact of nature.

# Spectrum, miladdo.
C64 games didn't make any noise when you were loading them IIRC. Some Atari 800-XL games talked to you when they were loading because they used both sides of the tape at once if you know what I mean.

I bought a new turntable and I'm mp3ing all my old vinyl records*. I've also been looking up the prices of them and doing little dances of joy. Some of them are worth forty fucking earth-quids.

I put this onto another forum I use a few weeks back. Unfortunately, the guy who ran the forum had just died in a diving accident and somehow it didn't click in my mind that it might be a bad idea to post this at that time. Really a shame as he was a bloody good guy.
