I had a barium swallow x-ray a while back, where they x-ray you as you drink this gloopy white metalic stuff; made me shit chas' for a while.. odd stuff ;-)

I'll never forget it as I was a very shy and insecure kid and I'll never forget that the doctor made me feel just that bit more comfortable
by refering to me a 'Chubby' all the time.
I also remember that I had to take a pill to make the barium meal go through quickers and I've never passed anything that rapidly.

We have to make the stuff in the lab sometimes as barium's really toxic, but make into the sulpahte and you can, well, drink the stuff...
it's how we mop up all the left-over barium salts.
