it's not that it's obscure given that i read through pretty much all of dianna wynne jones when i was young (power of three was my favourite. though fire and hemlock still stands up well, not least because it's basically a re-imagining of two old scots fairy tales) but the image is pretty obtuse...
still, a very big woo for referencing dianna wynne jones :) also, buy her tough guide to fantasyland if it's still in print again, it's very good indeed.
