at least ours won't make me foam at the mouth.
and from what i've heard from people that have been to Britain the beef there is of lower quality. this was a considerable time ago, so it could have improved after the bse thing.

The lack of good beef in the UK is more down to the decline of the traditional (non-halal) butcher IMO
Morrisons is one of the better supermarkets for meat (I wouldn't touch Tesco or Asda meat with yours). But I've got a proper trek ahead of me for proper meat.
But when you get it... sweet Jesus, there really isn't anything better

meh - I think so - you still get shit meat but we've stopped feeding cattle on spine
... most of it is considerably good though. Certainly, as far as I can see, the primary reason the BSE ban lasted so long was because it benefited the French exporters.
Also - I think we have a very high proportion of predominantly grass fed live stock, which is the best way - we haven't really taken to high density feed lots as much as other places because we don't have a surplus of corn on the cob...
