This is a normal post Sounds like a lot doesn't it?
But it's about five years worth of payments to the EU (after our rebate) and would almost certainly be payable in installments.

Also bear in mind that after this we have to pay them nothing, so in the long term we really do benefit.

This is a normal post after we've replaced all the EU public bodies and their functions with our own versions (at huge expense)
And after we've replaced trading links built up over 40 years with something else unspecified

In the LOOOONG term, we might get out blue passports back. But probably not

This is a normal post Benny.
They don't need wholesale replacement. Or much replacement at all.
And *breaking news* we traded with Europe before the existence of the EU. Also, you obviously haven't noticed, EU members also trade with countless countries that aren't EU members.

This is a normal post in the very long term you might begin to understand how the world around you works

This is a normal post Perhaps.
But the world of international trade and commerce, and the legal power of the WTO, will be forever beyond your ken.

This is a normal post it pains me to say
but Benny is right on this. Our trade has benefited enormously fron the single market - championed by Mrs T. We do more business with Ireland (pop. 4.7 million) than with China (pop 1.4 billion).

This is a normal post Define trade. Numbers/units etc. Sources.
Ireland needs the UK more than the EU in terms of trade. Also, why propagate the myth that such trade will cease when we leave a economic bloc. No one buys goods or services on the basis of origin (AOC type stuff excluded). They buy it because they want it.

This is a normal post The EU has trade restrictions...
...so the reason we trade more with Ireland than, say, China is because we are required to. Open up the market and we will trade how we used to with who we want to and businesses around the world will be able to do the same. In other words proper free trade. That includes European countries whose companies will still want to do business with the UK whether part of the EU or not.

This is a normal post NUMBERS DATA FACTS SOURCES.
So the fifth or sixth biggest economy in the world does less trade with the second largest economy in the world than a neighbouring minnow? GTFO.
